After Dinner Speakers: Cat Deeley, Louise Goodman, Ed Byrne
Cat Deeley first made her mark when she joined MTV UK in 1997, after impressing MTV bosses with what she admits was a "badly edited three minute home video". The 24-year-old was invited in for an audition, and after numerous screen tests she joined the channel as one of its hottest presenters.
Despite being a constant fixture on the cover of top men’s magazines including FHM and Maxim, the beautiful Cat is no brainless bimbo. She plays an active role in the writing and research of her shows and interviews, and has developed her comic timing and wit as Ant & Dec’s co-host on the popular Saturday morning ITV shows SMTV Live and CD:UK. With the departure of Ant and Dec viewers need not worry that Cat won’t be there for them to wake up to on a Saturday as she is continuing to host the shows alongside James Redmond.
Cat’s natural charm and bubbly personality are best shown when she is freestyling alongside feisty co-presenter Edith Bowman on MTV and Capital Radio. It is this warm personality that makes Cat a breath of fresh air when she is asked to make personal appearances or contribute to corporate events.
